How to Treat Yo’Self Any Day of the Week

Practicing self-love is something that takes some time to learn, but is worth every minute. You deserve to be loved not only by your friends and family but by yourself. Self-love is about getting in touch with yourself, your mental/physical health, and your genuine happiness. Self-love should be practiced every day, no matter the day. Here’s what we do to help center ourselves and practice self-love.

Have a spa day.

I don’t know about you, but after a long week filled with romantic/nice gestures, I need a break. Spend your time painting your nails, drinking your favorite wine with a face mask on. Why not spend time with yourself, and treat yourself to a relaxing day?

Volunteer.

The holiday season is fun for everyone, however, it can sometimes be wasteful, due to how much money is spent on showering people with gifts and love. On your next holiday, spend time at your local animal shelter, soup kitchen or otherwise giving back to the community. Not only will you feel good, but you will help others feel good.

Take a class and try something new.

It doesn’t have to be educational. Many local places offer classes via Zoom now, which makes it easier for everyone to stay at home, while making connections. The Mill offers online wine tasting and food classes. They’re even offered a chocolate tasting this Valentine’s Day for singles.

Get a makeover!

Want to color your hair but are too scared? Do it! Changing it up, while giving yourself something to look forward to is something everyone should do once in a while, and why not?!

Celebrate with your friends.

Set up a Zoom call with your friends and family who don’t have anything planned. Grab a bottle of wine, with a glass of water and your other favorite snacks, some games and you’re all set!

Throw an Anti-Holiday party over Zoom.

Holidays can be overwhelming and overrated for singles and couples. Throw an anti-holiday party with your friends. For example, for your next Valentine’s Day, throw a party not only celebrating your singleness but also your friends finding love.

Send a friend or yourself a present.

Sending a gift to a loved one is something that benefits everyone. It makes you feel good while making someone else feel good. Sending yourself a present as well as something that may help the day go by a little better. We recommend ordering the gift for yourself a month in advance, so you forget about it and surprise yourself. It doesn’t have to be big – it can be small, like a Charmlet box, personalized to your liking, without breaking the bank.
